Block Blast
Block Blast is a relaxing block puzzle game built around simple rules and careful choices. Each round gives you a fresh board and a new set of blocks in different shapes. Place them in open spaces to complete and clear full rows or columns before the grid fills up. The controls are easy to learn, but good scores depend on where and when you place each piece.
Leave room for shapes that have not appeared yet. A convenient move can block an important gap later, while a simple placement can set up several clears in a row. Create combos, manage the open spaces, and keep the board clear for as long as possible.
Master the Puzzle
Block Blast gives you three randomly generated blocks each turn, with shapes and sizes that change from round to round. Before placing one, look at the open spaces and compare all three options. Use the whole board instead of dropping a piece into the first gap you see. A long piece may fit along an edge, while a small square might work better in the center and leave useful gaps around it. Filling an entire row or column clears that line and opens space on the grid. You do not always need to clear a line right away. Leaving a nearly complete row open can give you more control over the next move.
Block Blast gets harder as the board fills and every move matters more. A careless placement can leave narrow gaps that fit very few shapes. Look a few moves ahead to keep open areas available and avoid trapping yourself in a crowded corner.
The best move may not give you the highest score immediately. It might set up two lines for a later combo, keep a central gap open, or leave room for a larger block. Pay attention to the three pieces available each turn and consider how they can work together. Planning the sequence can lead to longer runs, bigger combos, and higher leaderboard scores, though the random block set always adds some uncertainty.
Game Highlights
- Block Blast is easy to pick up, but experienced players still have room to improve their decisions.
- Each round brings a different mix of blocks, so there is no single solution to follow. Your best placement can change with every turn.
- The combo system rewards planning several clears ahead. Leaving room for a second or third line can score more efficiently than clearing lines one at a time.
- There is no countdown, so you can study the grid and think through a move before placing a block.
- The controls work well for both quick sessions and longer attempts. Most of your attention stays on the board, the available shapes, and the space you need to preserve.
- Empty spaces are just as important as completed lines. Keeping different kinds of gaps open gives you more options when the board fills up.
- Placing blocks along the edge can protect the center, while center placements can connect several potential clears. The right choice depends on the layout in front of you.
- A careful series of placements can turn a modest start into a long run. One clear may change little, but a well-timed chain can open the board again.
Controls
Drag each block onto the board with your mouse. Move it over the intended position, make sure it fits within the open cells, and release it.
Accuracy matters even when the controls feel simple. Placing a block one space away from the planned position can affect the next several moves, especially when only a few areas of the grid remain open.
Pause briefly before releasing each shape. This gives you time to compare the move with the other two blocks and avoid rushed placements in crowded rounds.
