Cat Runner is an endless runner where you guide Tom, an energetic cat, through tracks, city streets, and busy roads. Dodge cars, road signs, trains, barriers, and other hazards while collecting coins and completing missions. You can unlock outfits and use items during each run. Published by GameBiz, the game starts with simple controls, but the increasing speed makes each attempt more difficult.

Gameplay Strategies

Cat Runner puts Tom on a track or busy street, where he runs forward automatically. Move him left or right, jump over obstacles, and slide under barriers before they block the way. The controls are simple, but timing gets harder as traffic, signs, trains, and narrow gaps appear. Watch the lane ahead instead of chasing only the nearest coin.

Collect coins along the route to raise your score, complete missions, and unlock rewards. Power-ups can change how a run unfolds: the jetpack lifts Tom above danger, the magnet draws in nearby coins, and the hoverboard offers extra protection as he moves. Save them for stretches where they’ll help most, such as dense coin lines or clusters of obstacles.

Tom has multiple lives, so one mistake does not always end the run. Hitting a train or another dangerous obstacle costs one life. Special items and keys can restore a lost life and give you another chance to continue. Use these items carefully. Spending them too early may leave you vulnerable later. Cat Runner gradually speeds up, reducing your reaction time and forcing you to choose between collecting coins and avoiding hazards. A safer route is usually better than a risky coin grab.

Controls

  • Left/right arrow keys or A/D: Move Tom between lanes to collect coins or avoid obstacles. Use short presses when hazards are close together.
  • Up arrow: Jump over cars, barriers, road signs, and other ground obstacles. Time the jump by the obstacle’s distance, not just where it appears on screen.
  • Down arrow: Slide under raised barriers and low obstacles. Slide when an overhead hazard makes jumping unsafe or when there is little room to switch lanes.

Tips for Better Runs

  • Dodge before collecting: Keep Tom alive before chasing every coin. You can collect a missed coin on another run, but a collision can end a strong attempt or cost a life. This matters even more as the game speeds up and obstacles appear closer together.

  • Use power-ups with purpose: Save the magnet for long coin lines or groups of coins spread across nearby lanes. Use the jetpack when ground obstacles make a section crowded. A hoverboard is useful on risky stretches because it gives you more room for error. Wait to activate an item when a later section will make better use of it.

  • React early at higher speed: As Tom accelerates, look farther down the track and plan your next move before reaching the current obstacle. Focus on upcoming lane changes, jumps, and slides instead of making last-second movements. A small adjustment at the right time can keep the run going.

  • Read the route pattern: Tracks often place coins beside hazards to encourage quick decisions. Before moving toward a reward, check whether the safer lane remains open past the first obstacle. The next section matters as much as the object directly ahead.

  • Complete missions during safe runs: Missions give each run a clear target, but do not force one when the track becomes crowded. Coin missions are easier on open lanes. For distance missions, preserving lives and avoiding unnecessary risks usually leads to longer runs.

Run with Tom through streets that change as you move. Switch lanes, jump or slide at the right moment, and save power-ups for when they matter. Stay alive, collect what you can, and react before the road closes in.

More Endless Runners

Endless runners send you down tracks lined with obstacles, coins, and timed power-ups. You jump, slide, turn, and switch lanes as the path unfolds. Temple Run winds through ancient ruins, Subway Surfers weaves around trains and city tracks, and Jetpack Joyride adds jet-powered flight. Each handles movement differently, but all reward quick reactions and careful choices, especially when the safer route has fewer coins.
