Cats and Gold is an endless runner where a cat races along a changing treasure route. It keeps moving forward as you steer through roads, platforms, tunnels, and other colorful settings filled with gold. Collect coins and travel as far as you can before an obstacle ends the run.
The route changes as you go. A lane may close, a coin trail may lead toward a barrier, or a power-up may appear before a tricky stretch. Moving hazards keep each run different, and the coins give you reason to watch the road. The controls are easy to pick up, but longer runs take focus.
Handle the Run
In Cats and Gold, the cat runs forward automatically. You decide how to keep the run going. Watch the gap between the cat and the next obstacle, then choose a lane or move before the danger gets close. The road may split into several routes, and the safest one may not have the most gold. Look one section ahead instead of reacting to whatever is directly in front of the cat. That gives you time to change lanes, jump, or roll.
- Change lanes: Move left or right to avoid barriers and follow useful gold trails. Changing lanes can also set you up for the next obstacle. A quick shift may save the run, but moving without a clear reason can send the cat into another hazard.
Jump over hazards that block the road at ground level. Press jump at the right moment to clear them and keep the cat moving. Jump too early, and the cat may land in danger; wait too long, and there may be no time to recover.
Roll under low obstacles. In Cats and Gold, the hazard’s height indicates the right move. When a barrier hangs above the road, roll at the right moment to pass underneath it. Jumping can cause a direct collision.
- Collect gold: Gold appears in lines, groups, and short trails along the route. Coins increase your reward, but some are too risky to grab. Choose coin lines that leave room to handle the next barrier.
Power-ups can help the cat through difficult stretches. Magnet pulls nearby gold toward the cat, so you can collect coins without following every part of the trail. Speed Boost increases movement speed, leaving less time to react. Jetpack helps the cat cross sections that are difficult to navigate from the ground. Double Gold increases the value of collected coins for a limited time. Use each item with the road ahead in mind; power-ups do not eliminate hazards.
Bonus areas and challenges add objectives beyond covering distance. Cats and Gold may require you to collect a set amount of gold, clear difficult sections, or reach a target in a single attempt. These tasks can affect your route. You do not need to take every bonus path; choose one when the reward justifies the risk and the cat has enough room to react.
As the run continues, Cats and Gold leaves less room for mistakes. The cat speeds up, obstacles appear closer together, and a brief delay can end the run. Chasing every coin is not always worth it if the path leads straight into a barrier. Plan the next two moves together: a lane change might grab the gold, but it should also leave space for the next jump or roll.
Power-ups are most useful when timed well. Magnet helps on dense coin paths, while Speed Boost can make familiar sections harder to read. As the pace rises, controlled moves usually work better than frantic ones, especially when the road starts changing quickly.
