Fireboy and Watergirl 1: Forest Temple is a cooperative puzzle platformer set in an ancient temple. Fireboy can walk through lava, while Watergirl can cross water. Both must avoid their own hazards, so each route needs to be planned carefully.
Play alone by controlling both characters, or team up with a friend. Solve the puzzles in each room, collect the colored diamonds, and guide Fireboy and Watergirl to their exit doors. Timing and precise movement are more useful than speed.
How to Play
Study the hazards and plan a route to the next safe area. Use switches, platforms, and the characters’ different abilities to get both heroes through each level.
- Cross the terrain carefully: Fireboy must avoid water, while Watergirl must avoid lava. Both characters must stay out of green toxic pools. Jump across gaps and use safe platforms.
- Solve the temple’s mechanisms by pressing buttons, activating levers, and riding elevators. Some switches require one character to hold them while the other crosses the opened path.
- Collect the diamonds and reach the exits. Fireboy collects red diamonds, and Watergirl collects blue diamonds. Search each room for reachable gems, then guide both characters to their matching doors.
Controls
Fireboy: Move and jump with the arrow keys.
Watergirl: Move and jump with W, A, S, and D.
Check for hazards before moving either character. Water, lava, and green pools can send you back to the start.
Plan both routes. A path that is safe for Fireboy may put Watergirl in danger, so make sure each character has a suitable route.
Use switches at the right time. Keep the needed door or platform active while the other character passes.
Place movable boxes where they help you reach higher platforms.
Check the route before collecting diamonds. Some require extra jumps or detours.
