Gravity Run sends your character through a hazardous tunnel of traps, spikes, narrow gaps, and shifting obstacles. The character runs forward automatically, leaving you to watch the path and time each change in gravity. Instead of jumping, you switch between the floor and ceiling to avoid obstacles. The controls are simple, but rising speed and shrinking safe spaces make each attempt harder. The game tests your focus and reaction speed with short, demanding runs.
Gravity Switching
In Gravity Run, the character moves forward continuously as hazards enter the tunnel. You switch gravity at the right moment to move between the floor and ceiling before hitting an obstacle. One late input can end the run, especially when traps appear close together. Early levels give you time to learn the controls; later sections demand quicker decisions and more precise timing.
You need to:
- Tap or click to reverse gravity when the route calls for it. The character keeps moving forward at the same speed, so every input has to fit the tunnel.
- Switch between the floor and ceiling to avoid spikes, walls, and other hazards. Check both sides before moving; the opposite surface may be dangerous too.
- React quickly when obstacles appear. Some sections give you almost no time to correct a mistake.
- Time each gravity switch carefully. Move too early and you may land on a dangerous surface; move too late and there may be no way out.
- Collect the stars scattered through each level. Many are placed near hazards, forcing you to choose between a safer route and a riskier path for a higher score.
- Study the tunnel ahead instead of watching only the character. Repeated patterns can help you anticipate the next switch, though the rising speed leaves little room for careless taps.
- Use failed attempts to adjust your timing. Small changes can make a difficult route manageable after a few tries.
The game has 18 levels. Early stages introduce gravity switching at a manageable pace, giving you time to learn how the character moves. Later levels speed things up, tighten the gaps between hazards, and introduce turns with less warning. Stars reward careful route planning because the shortest path is not always the easiest. The levels are compact, but the rising speed gives each one its own rhythm.
Controls
- Click or tap to change gravity and move the character between the floor and ceiling.
- Time your inputs. A quick tap can avoid an approaching obstacle; a mistimed one can cause a collision.
- Watch the gaps between hazards and switch gravity in a steady rhythm.
- Practice difficult sections to learn when to switch.
- Keep watching after each switch. Another obstacle may appear as soon as you reach the opposite surface.
