Sonic Dash

Sonic Dash is a 3D running and parkour game you can play in a browser. It is part of Kogama, a platform for community-created worlds and action games. The game takes inspiration from Sonic, but you’ll need to time jumps, control your movement, and avoid obstacles at speed.

Parkour Gameplay

You race through a fixed 3D course while your character moves forward. Stay on the track, avoid falling, and reach the finish by timing your jumps and adjusting your movement.

You’ll need to build and manage momentum, jump between platforms, react to turns and gaps, and stay in control at high speed.

Sonic Dash uses designed levels rather than an endless route. Miss a jump or turn too late, and you may fall back to the start. You’ll have to retry, learn the course, and sharpen your timing. There are no upgrades, power-ups, or collectibles that change your performance. How far you get depends on your reactions and control.

Movement and Controls

The keyboard controls work well on PC:

  • WASD or arrow keys: Move
  • Spacebar: Jump
  • K: Respawn or reset your position

Sonic responds quickly, so a small timing error can throw off a jump. Pay attention to your momentum and keep the camera in view as you steer. Precise inputs matter on narrow platforms.

Level Design

Sonic Dash levels test your reaction speed and precision:

  • Straightaways give you room to build speed.
  • Tight corners demand quick turns.
  • Floating platforms require precise jumps.
  • Some sections punish hesitation. Commit when the path is clear.

The course gets faster and less forgiving as you advance. There are no upgrades or power-ups, so progress depends on skill. Each attempt helps you learn the timing.

What Sets It Apart

The name and style draw on Sonic Dash, but this is neither an endless runner nor an official Sonic game. It focuses on parkour and controlled movement:

Parkour challenges replace item collection. There are no upgrades or abilities, so success depends on player skill rather than progression. Each course follows a set route, making the browser-based 3D gameplay suited to short sessions.

It plays more like a speedrun challenge than a casual mobile runner. You’ll repeat sections while learning when to jump and turn.

Endless Runners

For more running and dodging, try Subway Surfers, Temple Run 2, or Minion Rush.
