Score With Your Rocket Car

Turball.io is a multiplayer sports game where you drive rocket-powered cars instead of football players. Your goal is to hit a giant ball into the opposing team’s goal and keep it away from your own. Charging straight at the ball often leaves you with little control. Watch its direction, approach from an angle that sends it toward goal, and be ready to defend when the other team takes possession. A well-timed touch can help more than a fast, poorly aimed hit.

Use Boosts and Aerial Moves

Speed helps in Turball.io, but getting to the ball first doesn’t guarantee a good shot. Use boost to close the gap or reach a loose ball, then ease off or adjust your line as you approach so you can steer it instead of knocking it away. Jump to challenge balls in the air. Flips and aerial rolls can reposition your car mid-play, but they take practice. Use them to reach or direct the ball.

  • Attack with a plan: Approach the ball from the side or behind to send it toward the opponent’s goal. Check the goal and defenders before committing. A direct hit moves the ball forward; an angled hit may open a shot or set up a teammate.
  • Switch to defense: If a teammate is already attacking, cover an open area near your goal instead of chasing the same ball. Be ready to intercept a shot or collect a clear. You can help the team without being closest to the action.
  • Practice aerial control: Use Free Play or Training to learn how your car responds to jumps, flips, and movement in the air. Experiment with your angle and timing before trying aerial moves in competitive matches. Practice helps you judge what your car can reach and when to stay on the ground.

Pick a Match Mode

Play Casual matches in Turball.io to practice driving and ball control. When you’re ready for ranked play, Competitive matches put those skills to the test. You can choose 1v1 duels or team games. In a duel, you handle every challenge and recovery yourself. In team matches, track your teammates’ positions and avoid crowding the ball. Start with the format you’re comfortable with, then try others as your control improves.

Other modes change the goal or mechanics. In Hoops, aim for the basketball-style target. Snow Day swaps the ball for a puck, changing how it moves and how you handle contact. Rumble adds power-ups that can disrupt a play or open up a chance to score. Free Play and Training let you practise steering, boost timing, jumps, and aerial control at your own pace. The same skills apply across modes, but you may need to adjust how you use them.

Controls

  • W, A, S, D: Drive and steer around the arena. Use them to line up your approach to the ball.
  • Left mouse button: Boost to close the distance or reach a challenge quickly.
  • Right mouse button: Jump. Press it again to perform an aerial flip and reposition your car.
  • Shift: Powerslide to make sharper turns.
  • Q / E: Roll left or right in the air. Practice in Free Play or Training before using air rolls in a close match.
  • Spacebar: Toggle the ball-follow camera. Choose the view that helps you track the ball and plan your next move.
